• Why did you decide to become an SLP? My interest in Speech Pathology started when my grandfather had a stroke and couldn’t communicate his basic wants and needs. I knew then that I wanted to be in a field where I could help people communicate when the most obvious ways are unavailable to them.

  • What is your SLP superpower? My SLP superpower is that I live, work, and play, autism. Having worked with many children on the spectrum and having my own child with autism gives me a unique perspective on therapy choices, parent collaboration, and plan development in and outside of the home and school.

  • What do you like to do for fun? I love watching documentaries! From true crime to how it’s made, I can sit and binge them all day! I especially enjoy sharing all of the mundane and irrelevant facts that I learn from them with my husband and 3 children. The looks I get are PRICELESS!

  • What do you love about TeamUp Therapy? I love that TeamUp Therapy was born from the inspiration of experiences with your sister and a desire to make therapy more accessible. It creates a true family feel.
