• Why did you decide to become an SLP? I always knew I wanted to go into healthcare, but wasn’t sure what that looked like for me. Before my senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to shadow STs, OTs, and PTs at a pediatric therapy clinic for a week. After observing a speech therapy session there, something “clicked” and I knew I had found my future career! I was drawn to a job that allowed me to build relationships with others, collaborate with other professionals and families, and have fun all while helping children communicate and build their confidence!

  • What is your SLP superpower? Flexibility and creativity! Any item or activity can be used as a therapy opportunity, and I love challenging myself to be creative in finding ways to use a child’s specific interests to target a variety of goals.

  • What do you like to do for fun? I love going on walks, baking and cooking, embroidering, reading, traveling, and spending time with my husband!

  • What do you love about TeamUp Therapy? I love that TeamUp is able to reach patients who may not have access to therapy services otherwise. I also love being able to work with other therapists who are positive and passionate about the field and making a difference for children and their families!
