• Why did you decide to become an OT? I decided to become an OT pretty early on. I was 10 when my baby cousin Georgie was born. He is now 37. I would go to all of his therapy sessions and spent almost every weekend with him quickly realizing this was what I wanted to do. Without knowing it was almost as if I took on a challenge of being able to understand him like no one else could. We continue to have a bond like no other and I have come to realize if he would have had the right team in place, he would have been more independent and reached his maximum potential. This is why I love being part of TeamUp. I want to provide children with the right team early on.

  • What is your OT superpower? My OT superpower is my communication skills with the children and their families. I love engaging with them and creating that trust between us to create an environment where we can work and accomplish goals together (in English & Spanish)!

  • What do you like to do for fun? I love to travel with my husband and 3 girls as much and as often as possible. I play tennis on 2 teams and take pilates throughout the year and anything outdoors (camping, hiking). I love to cook and love sharing that passion with my girls who love to bake. We are big foodies and will go out of our way to get to a good coffee shop or restaurant wherever we are.

  • What do you love about TeamUp Therapy? I love their story, core values and mission and how they are providing services to children and their families who would not be able to get them elsewhere.

  • Areas of interest:I enjoy working with children in all areas but especially have a connection with Early Intervention, Autism and Down Syndrome. I enjoy working with children and their families via ADL’s & IADL’s, fine motor skills, play skills and handwriting focusing on communication and support with caregivers for them to be able to carry over techniques learned into their daily routines.
