• Why did you decide to become an SLP? I spent the first 13 years of my career in advertising, but I would dream about becoming a teacher as I commuted to work each day. One day, I realized that an SLP career would combine my love of teaching with my interest in health care, so I headed back to grad school with a 3-year-old and 5-month-old at home! I’m so glad I took the plunge and I can’t imagine doing anything else.

  • What is your SLP superpower? I love connecting with clients and finding out what brings them joy. To me, communication development is about relationships. The other day my 13-year-old client said “Thanks for letting me be goofy with you!” and it was the best compliment ever.

  • What do you like to do for fun? I love to walk with my friends, do yoga, cook for my family, and renovate old things.

  • What do you love about TeamUp Therapy? I love the openness, energy, and straightforward communication. They are patient-centered and it shows!
