Why did you decide to become an OT? I decided to become an occupational therapist after my nephew suffered an anoxic brain injury at birth. I quickly accompanied my sister and nephew to therapy services and saw how extensive occupational therapy could be with the difference that was being made. I love that with occupational therapy that we can form a long lasting relationship with both the children that we serve and assisting families.

What is your OT superpower? I pride myself on my ability to create an easy and comfortable rapport with both parents and children that work with me. As an occupational therapist one of the most important aspects of my job is listening. I feel that too often parents are overlooked during traditional medical evaluations and when they have contact with me I am able to validate feelings and concerns that they may have as well as educating them about how to support their child more effectively. I’m an empathetic and emotionally attuned individual with a strong creative drive and a deep passion for connecting with people. Known for being a thoughtful listener and a supportive presence, I thrive in environments where understanding others and bringing ideas to life go hand in hand. Whether collaborating on projects or offering a compassionate ear, I bring both heart and determination to everything I do.

What do you like to do for fun? I like to hang outside with my 3 girls, husband, and 2 dogs. We love being outside and taking adventures as a family. I enjoy crafting with my kids and am learning to crochet again. My husband and I have recently starting weight lifting together to stay in shape and have some quality time together!
