Why did you decide to become an SLP? Growing up, I always wanted to be a teacher. Once I entered my freshman year of college, I was introduced to the field of speech language pathology by a family friend. I realized it was the perfect match for me. It allows me to combine my passion for working with children, being creative, and helping others.

What is your SLP superpower? My SLP superpower is forming relationships and and building rapport with my clients and their families. I believe it is so important to know and understand the client’s likes and dislikes, desires, and interests, so that along with the family, we can work together to achieve the client’s communication goals.

What do you like to do for fun? I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, being outdoors, and traveling.
