Why did you decide to become an OT? As soon as I saw an OT zooming down the hallway with a child on a scooter board at a school I worked at I absolutely knew OT was for me! I love all things silly, fun, interactive and enjoy playful interactions. I’m passionate about helping kids grow, learn, and thrive in their own unique ways. I love turning play into progress, supporting families along the journey, and embracing the exciting challenge that comes with every child’s individuality. No two days—and no two kids—are ever the same, and that’s exactly what I love about it!

What is your OT superpower? My superpower as an OT is being able to quickly build a genuine connection with both the child and their family. I create trust and comfort early on, which helps therapy feel engaging and collaborative!

What do you like to do for fun? If I am not working you will find me crafting, reading a good book, hiking or doing anything outside! I love camping, traveling and kayaking.

What do you love about TeamUp Therapy? TeamUp has a positive, fun culture that allows a really needed, unique way to provide therapy in a child’s natural environment!

Areas of interest: I love all things OT that allow PLAY-based care. I enjoy working with families to support feeding, emotional regulation, cognitive/executive functioning and self-care tasks to maximize independence. I’m trained in Floortime therapy and love to have treatment with a neuro-affirming practice approach. I enjoy early intervention ages. I’ve worked in several medical/hospital-based positions so also have a strong basis for the medical side of therapy!
