Why did you decide to become an OT? I had always been drawn to pediatrics, and when I discovered occupational therapy, I loved the idea of being able to serve children and families in a meaningful way. I wanted a career where I could make a difference by looking at the whole picture—not just a diagnosis or a single skill, but the child, their environment, their routines, their strengths, and the people who support them. OT felt like the perfect fit because it allows me to combine problem-solving, creativity, and compassion while helping families work toward the things that matter most in everyday life. What continues to keep me passionate about the field is being able to meet families where they are, understand what is getting in the way, and help create practical changes that make daily life feel a little easier and more successful.

What is your OT superpower? My OT superpower is looking beyond the isolated skill or behavior to understand the “why” behind a participation challenge. I love considering the whole picture—the child, the task, their environment, sensory and motor needs, communication, and family routines—so that intervention addresses what is truly getting in the way and translates into practical strategies for everyday life.

What do you like to do for fun? I love traveling, exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, spending time with my husband and our two dogs, and working on creative projects. I also love writing and children’s storytelling, so you can usually find me with a new idea or project somewhere in the works!

What do you love about TeamUp Therapy? What I love most about TeamUp Therapy is how genuinely family-centered the entire model is. TeamUp makes high-quality therapy more accessible to children and families regardless of where they live, while still keeping care personal, collaborative, and individualized. I also love the trust TeamUp places in both families and clinicians. There is a real emphasis on communication, problem-solving, and working together to find what fits each child’s everyday life. From my very first interaction with the team, I felt welcomed, supported, and aligned with the mission of helping families feel empowered rather than simply giving them a list of things to work on.

Areas of interest: Infant and early childhood development, medically complex and neurologic pediatric care, newborn/NICU-related needs, positioning, developmental milestones, daily routines, and caregiver education and coaching. I’m especially interested in supporting infants and young children as they develop foundational motor, sensory, self-care, and participation skills while helping caregivers feel confident supporting development within everyday routines.
