Children with Autism
Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), commonly affects communication, social/pragmatic language, and behavior, impacting how a child relates and responds to those around them. These challenges can significantly impact the child’s ability to interact with peers and family members, as well as navigate everyday activities (such as changes in routine, or transitioning from one activity to another). SLPs help to build communication and social skills in a variety of settings with a variety of people.
We can help.
We recognize that every child with Autism has their own unique set of skills, strengths, and challenges, which is why our treatment plans are tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of your child. Through a blend of evidence-based practice and close collaboration with families, we aim to enhance your child’s overall communication skills. We will help them engage more fully in the world around them, while inviting you to be a part of it. We are skilled in building engagement and truly learning the needs of your child – answering questions like…what excites them? What frustrates them? We want to help you navigate the journey.
