Meet Our Team

Our mission is to unlock the unique potential of each child through family-centered and ultra-convenient speech therapy.

Ashley Moates, Clinical Director

My younger sister, Anna, was born with Down syndrome, bringing forth a passion that has only grown with time to serve individuals with disabilities. In my unique experience growing up with Anna, I have seen her surpass countless expectations because of the time my parents and her therapists poured into her, setting no limit to what she could achieve.

I graduated from Auburn University with both my undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders, and my Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, inspired by Anna to help others break the barrier of communication. Following graduation, I worked in a multidisciplinary practice, and further learned the importance of collaboration to truly see and serve the needs of the whole child and support their family well.

When my brother and co-founder, Chris, and I started having conversations about our aligned missions and goals, it felt as though it had been our purpose all along to start TeamUp Therapy! Our mission to provide individualized care with family-centered and ultra-convenient speech therapy stems from our passion to serve children and their families well.

I hope you #TeamUp with us in our mission as we strive to love and serve families well, celebrating every victory while making a lasting impact!

My superpower: Connection! I love connecting with others, knowing what excites and inspires them.

Chris Moates, CEO

I was born and raised in Americus, Georgia, alongside my youngest sister, Anna, who has Down syndrome. The transformative impact of pediatric therapy and supportive parenting on her life sparked my early interest in healthcare.

After graduating from Yale with a degree in Political Science, I deepened my healthcare knowledge as a consultant at PwC in Dallas. Later, I led corporate development at Make-A-Wish Georgia, where I identified a growing need for pediatric therapy services.

Realizing the opportunity for greater impact, I shifted my focus from non-profit work to direct healthcare delivery. This led me to pursue an MBA at Dartmouth, where I learned how to effectively build and manage a healthcare organization. While at school, I began having conversations with my sister and co-founder, Ashley, and we crystallized our shared vision: to offer family-centered, ultra-convenient pediatric therapy to children in Georgia.

Today, we've made that dream a reality through TeamUp Therapy. Join us as we #TeamUp to transform lives, one child at a time.

My superpower: Bridge building! I thrive when bringing together people with different backgrounds and talents to co-create something awesome.
